I love to travel, and while traveling is great for my soul, sometimes it is just not great for my body! After spending the past 6 days in a hotel, eating out twice a day and not getting enough water, my body is happy to be home and is ready for a detox!
GreenBlender, a service that delivers perfectly portioned fresh fruits and vegetables to your home complete with recipes to make amazing smoothies, has so many amazing smoothie recipes on its site. Since I have not had time to get a GreenBlender order in due to my travel schedule, I went looking on their site for a good smoothie detox recipe using ingredients I was able to pick up during my weekly grocery run.

KIWI STRAWBERRY DETOX SMOOTHIE RECIPE (courtesy of GreenBlender)
- 1 1/2 oz baby spinach
- 4 oz strawberries
- 2 kiwis – peeled
- 1 tbsp flaxseed
- 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup ice
Place all ingredients into your blender and in moments you have a healthy smoothie that is loaded with vitamins, healthy fats, and fiber – all the things you need to get your body’s system back on track!
